MENS GOLF ASSN.

The MGA has a sign up sheet in the pro shop for the Annual Match Play Tournament.  Deadline to sign up is Friday, July 15.  There is no entry fee.  The sign up sheet will be removed around 6:00PM on that day and brackets will be developed by blind draw for matches to begin the week of Monday, July 18.

This will be a handicapped event.  All those registered with the USGA/GHIN handicapping system in the pro shop will be using the most recently issued handicap in that system for the tournament.   Those not enrolled will have to play their opponents straight up.

Matches must be completed by the dates listed on the bracket or both players in that match forfeit.  Completion deadline dates will be posted for each round of matches.  Scorecards will need to be turned in with each match with the winner identified and the match score.  All rounds played will also be registered into the GHIN system as tournament rounds.  Instructions for properly determining your score for incomplete rounds will be posted with the bracket.

NEWS FROM THE BOARD

We would like to thank Gary Palmer for an outstanding donation of a custom made spray rig for the golf course.  This machine will be a great asset to the course.  We greatly appreciate Gary’s contribution and all members should thank him as well.

Kitchen Participation.  We have mentioned in the bulletin from time-to-time our kitchen and how it enhances our club.  We ask you to support your kitchen even more during the summer months as travel and vacation takes away normal traffic.  We have a great product, so please come out, use and enjoy it!  Whether or not there are specials you can always count on a great meal at a great price at the Rolling Hills kitchen.  Please support your restaurant!

It has been brought to our attention by both members and our course neighbors that there is urinating in public going on by our men on the golf course.  We please ask that you use the facilities on the course and avoid this practice.

New Members:  Mark McQueen; Aubrey Mobley; Stephen Malone; B.W. Jones; Darrell Fears.

Restaurant News: We will have Prime Rib each Saturday night.  We will also continue to have some sort of
”specials” on Thursday and Friday nights.

Pro-Shop:  The pro-shop will be open Monday, July 4, from 8:00AM to 6:30PM.

Pool News:  Attached is a copy of the pool rules and regulations.  It has been brought to our attention that many unattended children are being left out at the pool.  We will only have (2) lifeguards on duty beginning next week.  We are asking that everyone note the ages and the rules for children.  Thank you in advance for following these rules.

An adult or an older sibling/sitter who is at least 16 must accompany all children under the age of 10.  Sitters who are not members will not be charged the guest fee.  All swimmers are expected to conduct themselves in a mannerly fashion.  The lifeguards are at the pool to enforce the rules for everyone’s safety.  The lifeguards have been authorized by the Board of Directors to enforce the rules in the following manner:

1.  First violation-verbal warning with explanation.

2.  Second violation-removal from the pool for 15 minutes.

3.  Third violation-removal from the pool area (outside the fence) for no less than one hour, parents will be called and

the pool supervisor will be notified.

4.  The lifeguards are required to report to the pool Supervisor and/or the Board of Directors in case of multiple

disciplinary actions with one member.  The Board will decide if that member’s pool privileges will be revoked.

For pool parties:  If there are more than 8 swimmers, must have (2) lifeguards.
