NEWS FROM THE BOARD:  The month of February had several events, all of which were very successful.  The Super Bowl party was attended by more than 100 members.  Raymond Jackson prepared the meat and Ricky Walker headed up the score board.  Thanks to all members who brought a dish.  Steve and Charlotte Spikes won the Big Screen TV from Jade Wells and Sears.  The “Sweet Hearts Dinner” was sold out and we would like to say a special Thank You to Larry Don, his entire kitchen and waitress staff, as well as Kim and Steve in the bar, for an outstanding job with the food and service.  It was a cut above the ordinary for our area.  The Hog calling contest during the Arkansas-Florida game could be heard all the way to Fayetteville.  Ryan and Michelle are planning several more events for the rest of the year.  Each month they will be in your bulletin.  March 25^th we plan to have a membership recruitment day.  Please send names of people you would like for us to invite as your guest for that day.

The board is looking for some volunteer help for the Pro Shop.  If you would be interested in this please contact Renee or Carol Kerns.  We want to keep our Pro Shop open as much as possible, this way we can.

The board thanks you for your continued support of our club.  We feel it is a great resource for our community.

LGA NEWS:  The Ladies’ golf season will begin Wednesday, April 5^th.  The annual dues will be $15.00 and you may pay Carol or Melissa any time before or when the season starts.  If you have any questions please call Carol Kerns at 248-1084.

MGA NEWS:  The MGA will be holding its annual meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2006,  at RHCC at 6:30PM.  Please spread the word to all MGA members and non-members to attend this meeting.   We need a good turnout of members to join the MGA this year.  We will be selecting tournament dates and formats for this year’s golf tournaments, as well as selecting new committee members and election of new officers.  MGA annual dues are $10.00; annual handicap dues are $15.00 and need to be paid in the pro shop.

MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE:  The men’s Monday Night League Schedule is as follows:  Captains meeting and sign-up:  Monday, April 3^rd and April 10^th

Cut-off for sign-up:  Tuesday, April 11^th

Start of play:  Monday, April 17^th

RESTAURANT NEWS:  Please note our menu specials for the month of March on the face of the calendar.  Please come out and enjoy.

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS:   Sing! Sing! Sing! Join us on Saturday, March 4^th for a night of Karaoke.  Come early for Happy Hour and then enjoy the entertainment starting at 7:30PM in the bar.  We will have a contest for “Best Singer”, “Funniest Duet”, “Best Imitation”, etc.  This is always a fun event and we hope you can join us.

We would like to thank everyone who was able to make it to the Super Bowl Party.  It was a huge success!!  Congratulations to Steve Spikes for winning the big screen TV.

We cheered on the Hogs to a victory over Florida on February 18^th.  Even with the wintry weather we had a great turnout.  Congratulations to Andrea Moleski, Gary Pugh and Susie Adams for winning the Hog Calling Contest.  They each won a U of A t-shirt and hat for their great effort!
